Weddings

If you are searching for a wedding celebrant then congratulations to you on your engagement, what a magical time in your life this must be!

I am in love with love! I have been happily married for 29 years. When we tied the knot, we would have liked nothing better than a bespoke, personal and warm celebratory ceremony. At that time this would have been virtually unheard of in Ireland. We are no longer limited to the ceremonies of old.  In this new and progressive Ireland couples of any gender can choose a civil ceremony which gives them full control of the shaping of their happy day. This is where I come in, I want to help you by working with you to create a beautiful, unique ceremony. The legal necessities with the HSE (http://www.hse.ie/go/marriage) would have to be completed separately but I will be there to help you through that process. There are no restrictions as to place, time or possibilities. Be it a venue on a beach, beside a lake or simply under a tree. I am here for you and I will ensure your ceremony will be completely individual.

Working together we will explore the moments of your relationship that you wish to share. I will craft your love story which will be beautifully delivered as the centrepiece of the ceremony. I will create a bespoke wedding ceremony which reflects your personalities and your love.

I have an extensive collection of poetry, readings and ceremony enhancements. Popular ones being handfasting, ring warming, unity candles and sand ceremonies that you might like to choose from. You are not limited, you may choose anything you feel that reflects you and your journey.

I want to be The Celebrant for You helping to make your dream ceremony become a reality.

Vow Renewals

Vow renewals are a re-declaration of your committed love and a celebration of your married life together. Whether it be one year or fifty years after your original vows, the choice is yours. It is a joy for the heart to see a couple who have travelled the rigours of life together, reaffirm their dedication and love for one another in front of family and friends.
It may be a surprise from one partner to the other, a new start after a rough patch in your relationship, or simply because you love each other dearly. Together we will craft a beautiful ceremony telling the story of your married life so far. We can involve your children and guests with poetry and music. Couples may also choose ceremony enhancements such as the popular ‘ring warming’ , should you choose to purchase a new piece of jewellery for your lifelong love!
Whatever you choose I will endeavour to make your day as special and meaningful as your original wedding day.

Baby Naming

The joy of welcoming a new life into your life is one of the most wonderful experiences for any couple.  A baby naming ceremony is the secular equivalent of a christening.  It is simply a chance to formally introduce your new arrival to all those who are near and dear to you.

You can hold this gathering anywhere of your choosing that has a special meaning or significance for your family. You can include things such as poetry, prose, music, fun and laughter.

There are several ceremony enhancements that can be included. A ceremony to bestow the name, baby hand and footprint ceremony, planting a tree, rose petal ceremony or a wish box. You are not limited in anything you wish to have for your ceremony and we will work together to make it a memory for life.

Ceremonies

Funeral

As a funeral celebrant, part of my job is to give comfort and assistance to those who are suffering loss. I work with both the bereaved and occasionally those pre-planning their own funeral. I endeavour to create a fitting, beautiful and meaningful ceremony celebrating a life lived no matter how long or short that was.
I always try to create something touching and special which reflects the beliefs and choices of the deceased and the client. The ceremony can be held in the family home or in a funeral home. This can be followed by burial, cremation, or solely at the graveside or crematorium.
Each ceremony is bespoke and crafted with love and dignity and is written to honour the deceased and comfort family and friends who are left behind and grieving.
